7. August 2002: Ideogramic UML™ 2.3.1 for Windows
Version 2.3.1 of Ideogramic UML™ has been released. Apart from
bugfixes this release also contains automatic text completion and an improved,
resizable model view. The element documentation has also been improved and all
texts on relationships are now movable.

2. July 2002: Ideogramic UML™ 2.3 beta 1 for Windows
Version 2.3 beta 1 of Ideogramic UML™ has been released. Apart from
bugfixes this release also contains automatic text completion and an improved,

7 June 2002: Using Ideogramic UML in Education
How do you use Ideogramic UML in education and how effective is it?
A new whitepaper (.pdf) explores this and
more. Also, on the ACM ITiCSE'2002 conference,
Ideogramic will present a
tutorial on using Ideogramic UML for teaching and learning UML.
Using Ideogramic UML for teaching and learning aims at overcoming
major problems with the UML for teaching and learning in terms of
extent, complexity, and usability. The whitepaper and
tutorial focusses on four different teaching and learning scenarios
attacking the problems:
- Lecture use. A lecturer explains modelling using Ideogramic UML. As on an
ordinary whiteboard there is a close connection between the lecturer's actions and
the results of these actions.
- Peer instruction use. Teaching assistants and students use Ideogramic UML to
present and develop solutions interactively.
- Peer group use. Students use Ideogramic UML when working in project groups,
solving an exercise collaboratively.
- Individual use. Ideogramic UML is used on an ordinary PC as a modelling tool
combined with all the scenarios above.
24. May 2002: Ideogramic UML™ 2.2.2 for Windows and Linux
Version 2.2.2 of Ideogramic UML™ has been released. The release
primarily contains bugfixes.
17. May 2002: Ideogramic Ideas™ 2.0 beta for Windows
Version 2.0 beta of Ideogramic Ideas™ has been released. New
features and improvements include: Diamond-shaped elements,
Textboxes on the background, Improved line move strategy for
straight lines, Toggle outline on elements, Alignment of elements
and Linewidth on connectors and freehand drawings.

19. April 2002: Ideogramic UML™ 2.2 for Windows and Linux
Version 2.2 of Ideogramic UML™ has been released. New features
and improvements include: C++ reverse engineering, improved automatic
layout of reverse engineered models, increased support for a
traditional desktop metaphor through, e.g., toolbars, generation of
SVG-based HTML documentation from models, "Save as Image..." in JPEG,
PNG, and SVG formats, and support for Linux platforms.

17. April 2002: CeBIT 2002 - Tremendous Success for Ideogramic
Ideogramic's participation at CeBIT
2002 was a tremendous boost for the sales and development
activities at Ideogramic. The exhibition showed that there is a huge
international potential for bringing our technology, products, and
values to the market.
Based on contacts that were established at CeBIT, Ideogramic has
entered into negotiations with a network of international business
partners in Taiwan, Japan, Russia, Germany, Belgium, UK, and the
US. Ideogramic is truly developing into an international enterprise.
The Danish ambassador in Germany, Gunnar Ortmann, paid a visit to
Ideogramics booth at CeBit. The ambassador showed great interest
in Ideogramics business philosophy and superior understanding of
working situations.
11. March 2002: Ideogramic launches Tablet PC Development
Ideogramic has been selected as a beta tester for the Tablet PC
Platform that is being developed by Microsoft. Ideogramic has also
launched the development of special versions of its software for the
Tablet PC platform, and expects to have these ready for the official
launch of the Tablet PC in the fall of 2002.
8. March 2002: Ideogramic UML™ 2.2 Beta
The first beta of Ideogramic UML™ 2.2 has been
released! Improvements include improved reverse engineering, better
interaction on desktop computers, and SVG-based documentation

4. March 2002: AEI Tech 2002 Award
e-GIP Software AG has received an "AEI Tech 2002 Award" at the SAE 2002 Conference for their
support software. e-GIP Software AG is a partner of Ideogramic, and
part of the software that won the prestigious award has been developed by Ideogramic.
